Main character doesn’t expect to do task, but is up to the challenge…until main love interest creates a conflict!

Main character had thing happen to them. They are dealing with thing, despite realities. Then, a handsome stranger appears in such a way. Main character isn’t interested in the warm fuzzy feelings that handsome stranger stirs up because of past experience(s). At least, that’s what she tells herself.

Handsome stranger has secrets to protect and no particular interest in a woman. But this woman is throwing him for a loop. He wants to give in to his attraction, but he also needs to do important thing that might lead to a dark moment. What’s a guy stuck in a graveyard to do?

Can important thing, cute side character/story thing, and other important thing combine to lead to love? Or is everyone just completely doomed?
